Monday, 14 September 2009 11:46

The name of this heirloom variety from East Germany means "giant bunch of grapes." These excellent flavored cherries are borne in bunches of 20-35 small, oval, red fruits with pointed ends.Riesentraube is an old fashioned grape tomato that was known to be offered in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania in the mid 19th century. This wonderful old variety produces huge clusters of scarlet red, one ounce grape tomatoes. The plants are very large and produce huge yields of these richly flavored tomatoes. Possesses the full tomato flavor that is missing in so many modern cherry tomatoes.
