The Black Krim Tomato is a very old heirloom tomato that originated on the Isle of Krim in the Southern Ukrain. It is believed to trace back to the 19th century. This outstanding tomato is a wonderful dark maroon in color and of a beefsteak shape. Recent research suggests that the darker colored varieties like Black Krim are much higher in the cancer fighting antioxidants Lutein and Lycopene than other varieties. These tomatoes have a high acid, old fashioned tomatoey taste. Good for cold climates. Matures in 90 to 95 days. Go to table of tomato varietes
