Description: The Palouse is a French phrase meaning "green lawn". Palouse is a large, yellow cotyledon-type cultivar that was developed through hybridization and selection for seed size, absence of seedcoat mottle, and early maturity (Muehlbauer 1992). It produces yields comparable to 'Brewer' and is resistant to mechanical damage during threshing and processing.
