Oregon Giant PDF Print E-mail
Monday, 14 September 2009 13:12
Description:
This snow pea has unusually large, broad pods growing to 5 inches long. They are thick, very sweet, and tender, and remain so longer than others. The plant is 30-36 inches tall, similar to that of Oregon Sugar Pod II. Very resistant to pea enation mosaic and powdery mildew.
Succulent mangetout peas, specially bred with home gardeners in mind.
Pick the pods before they start to swell to appreciate their remarkably sweet flavour and crunchy texture.
Oregon Giant has the added advantage of resistance to peas mosaic virus, powdery mildew and wilt, so plants remain healthier and crop longer.
