This is a dwarf-type with rose-colored flowers and red beans, azuki, which is very popular in Japan.
Sprouts can be used in salads. Azuki beans are eaten in Asia on special occasions.
Mature seeds are used in red bean paste in desserts.
They can also be stir-fried or steamed.
