This old-time country pole bean with brown seeds is a favorite. Beans are approximately 6"-8" inches long, slender and stingless.
Will produce heavily if harvested diligently.
This bean has been popular since the mid 1800s.
Kentucky Wonder Pole Bean is very prolific - yields much longer than bush beans, right up to frost. Pods are oval, thick, gently curved, meaty and tender. Stringless and tender when young, the medium green pods are rich in flavor. The most popular of all heirloom pole beans, has been around since 1864. This bean can be grown on poles, trellis', fences, and teepee structures. Another name for this bean is 'Old Homestead.'

Stringless when young Pole beans yield much longer than bush beans, right up to frost. Plant 4-6" apart at the base of poles.
Heavy crops of 9" green pods, borne in clusters. Pods are oval, thick, gently curved, meaty and tender. Delicious fresh, frozen or dried for shell beans.
Plant 1Ѕ" deep and 3" apart. Keep moderately moist during germination, which takes between 6 and12 days. Thin 2 to 3" apart when seedlings are 3" tall.
Remember to pick your beans often to promote a continual harvest until the first frost.
