Top-notch hybrid home garden variety. Research reports have rated this as one of the best varieties of sweet corn. Sweetness, flavor and tenderness is excellent. Excellent for eating fresh, canning or freezing. Garden-fresh sweet corn is summer's greatest pleasure. 63 days for corn to mature. Extra-early, uniform ears are about 7" long with 12 rows of deep kernels. Stalks yield 2 ears. Best early variety, thrives in cool weather. Height 4-1/2'. Proven tops for productivity, flavor and wide adaptability. Special Directions for Short Season Climates Sowing: Plant in full sun outdoors in late spring, when soil is warm, after all danger of frost and cool weather have passed. Sow seeds 4-6 inches apart and 1 inch deep. Spacing: Rows should be spaced about 2 1/2 feet apart. Thinning: When established seedlings are 2-3 inches tall, thin them to 8-12 inches apart. Germination: Usually 7 to 10 days. Keep seedbed moderately moist during germination. Special advice To conserve space and for best pollination plant in blocks made up of short rows, thinned to 8 to 12 inches apart in all directions. Fertilize and cultivate soil prior to planting.
