An extra early, dwarf pea with outstanding yield. Dakota is a doubled-podded type that produces a concentrated set over the plants early. Compact vines are 2 feet tall and do not require staking. Pods are 3 - 3½ inches long with 5-6 plump, round peas. Very productive. Suitable for freezing. Dakota offers processors a medium-sieve pea with good color uniformity. It performs especially well in early planting slots and features a strong disease package with high resistance to powdery mildew, fusarium wilt, and leaf roll. Maturity 53-55 days.
