The Contender Bush Bean is the earliest stringless green bean on the market and is ideal for cool, short season climates. As it matures in only 40 to 50 days, you simply cannot find an earlier bush bean for your bean patch! Despite its suitability for cold climates, Contender is also an excellent choice for hot climates! This wonderful snap bush bean produces a large quantity of tasty, medium green colored, 6 inch long, slightly curved bean pods that can be utilized cooked, raw, canned or frozen. The pods are produced on sturdy 12 to 20 inch, bush type bean plants. The Contender Bush Bean is resistant to heat , Bean Mosaic Virus and Powdery Mildew, making this one of the best green beans for your garden You won't find an earlier bean. Contender is tasty, and will tolerate hot temperatures and mildew. This highly productive, stringless bean is about 6" long, thick and slightly curved.
