CDC Rosetown is a conventional small red lentil, which has the advantages of better yield and improved lodging tolerance compared to the other extra small reds. Seed size is slightly bigger than CDC Robin. CDC Rosetown has grey seed coat and are resistant to both ascochyta blight and Race 1 anthracnose. The smallest-seeded red lentil; CDC Rosetown is also one of the earliest-maturing. Like the other two small reds in line-up, CDC Rosetown has an excellent disease package. Coupling this with its tall stature, excellent standability, and high yield potential, CDC Rosetown will provide a harvest experience refreshingly less frustrating than what most lentil growers have known with other varieties in the past. • Days to flower: 52 • Plant height: 31 cm • Seed weight: 31 g 1000 • Yield: 851 pounds per acre • Days to maturity: 94 Go to table of lentil varieties |
