CDC Redberry has a grey seed coat and  resistant to both ascochyta blight and Race 1 anthracnose. CDC Redberry has a larger seed size compared to other red lentil varieties.
CDC Redberry has shown good ability to resist lodging under a wide range of conditions.
CDC Redberry is a high-yielding, red cotyledon lentil cultivar developed in 2002 by the Crop Development Centre, University of Saskatchewan, Saskatoon, Saskatchewan. It has gray seed coat colour, suitable for the red market class of lentil. It is intended for cultivation in all lentil growing areas of western Canada.
