CDC Plato is a high-yielding, yellow cotyledon lentil cultivar developed by the Crop Development Centre, University of Saskatchewan, Saskatoon, Saskatchewan. It is suitable for the large green market class of lentil and is intended for cultivation in all lentil-growing areas of western Canada. CDC Plato flowers 2 d earlier and matures 1 d earlier compared to CDC Glamis. Seed weight is about 66 mg, 3% greater than CDC Glamis. The seed coat colour of CDC Plato is light green, similar to that of CDC Glamis, and has yellow cotyledons.
