Instructions:
British bred maincrop with long, pointed, dark green pods. Good powdery mildew resistance. Add to risottos and pasta dishes.
Sowing March to June, regularly every 3 weeks for continuous summer crops, in well prepared soil in a sunny spot. Sow in a wide drill 5cm deep and space seeds about 5cm apart. Allow 90cm between each row.
Growing Support growing plants with pea and bean netting or pea sticks, and water regularly, particularly once flowering commences. Height to 90cm. Up to 10 seeds per pod
Harvesting June to August. Pick pods regularly to extend the cropping period.
Organic Gardening:
In order to continue the organic life cycle of these seeds, gardeners should follow recognised organic growing methods, avoiding the use of artificial fertilisers and pesticides.
