Description: Cascadia has 3 inch deep green, thick, juicy pods that are very flavorful. Plant produces good yields of 4" long snap peas. Pick snow peas before seeds start to develop inside. Excellent for stir fry. Developed by the Oregon State University. Suitable for the Northwest region. Disease Resistant: Powdery Mildew. Plant Height: 32" tall. Crisp, sweet, rounded 'sugar snap' pods that remain succulent and tender over a longer period than many other varieties. Enjoy bumper crops of Sugarsnap Pea Cascadia over a long picking season on the easy to manage, quite dwarf plants. Sugarsnap Pea Cascadia is resistant to Pea Wilt. Plant Height: 32" tall. Sowing Instructions: Sow seeds March to June, every 10 days. Sow seeds in flat-bottomed drills 5cm (2 inches) apart, 5cm (2 inches) deep and in rows, 75cm (30 inches) apart. Plant in the early spring, as soon as the soil can be worked. In mild climates, plant in the fall for winter harvest. Snap peas prefer well drained soil and they should be kept evenly moist. Snap peas should be harvested when the pods are plump. Peas that are too mature will cause the plant to stop producing. Growing Instructions: The peas will be ready to harvest around 12 to 13 weeks from sowing, and regular picking will encourage further cropping.
