Description: Best mid season yellow corn. Applause is a synergistic version of the very widely used Bodacious. Applause produces classy 8 in. ears that have very tender and very sweet kernels. Good yields have been noted from the sturdy and clean 6.5 ft. plants that have moderate tolerance to Stewart’s wilt. The ears have a dark green husk package that offers dark green flags and strong tip cover. The husked ears reveal 16 straight rows of shiny yellow kernels that fill well to the tip. The exceptional flavour of the crisp juicy kernels. If your markets demand high quality yellow corn - Applause is the one to plant. Days to maturity: 71 days. Hint: Corn is ready when the ears are completely filled and a pierced kernel shows a milky white liquid. A good sign of readiness is when the silk turns brown and crisp.
